Strategic Partners

What are Strategic Partners?

BCA Strategic Partners are organisations, businesses etc. who wholly support the BCA objectives and wish to go that extra mile in showing that support by assisting the BCA financially and at the highest level of support.

What we do for our Strategic Partners

Shaping Policy

It is our intention to create a Strategic Partner Advisory Board. This board will meet with our focus group chairs twice per year for them to report to you on progress and future plans in their respective areas and in turn, for you to help shape their agenda. We also aim to partner others in promoting the Midlands nationally and internationally and in turn maximising the Midlands huge economic potential.

Facilitating Partnerships

We will always endeavour to make introductions for you, or take those introductions to the next level, be that at a local level or overseas, and, if necessary, stay with you in the early days until you feel confident.

Supporting Business

In 2015 we organised two presentations featuring India and South Africa. This was followed up in April 2016 with a tri-part mission to Jamaica and later that year, in October, our first Commonwealth Conference.

Supporting Communities

Develop mutually beneficial community initiatives and bring about community social inclusion by breaking down barriers for cohesion. Further, providing the opportunity for community joined up thinking with key partners and stakeholder relationship development.

Supporting Higher Education

We recognise the importance of engaging with the higher education sector. Birmingham City University joined the April 2016 mission to Jamaica with positive outcomes. Our Education Focus Group published a report in 2016 identifying the Economic Impact of International Students on the City of Birmingham. They will be engaging with the Royal Commonwealth Society during 2017/2018 on initiatives connected with the April 2018 Commonwealth Summit being held in London.
