As we are all very much aware, Birmingham had the enormous privilege last year of hosting the very successful 2022 Commonwealth Games. The Games and associated initiatives raised and continue to raise Birmingham’s profile, showcasing the city as a very desirable place to invest, live, and work. They also acted as a catalyst to strengthen trade, investment, and tourism opportunities, alongside creating the conditions for economic and social regeneration. It has left a lasting positive legacy for its hugely diverse community and for towns and cities across the West Midlands.
The BCA are pleased to confirm that it is partnering with the University of Birmingham this year to hold its 13th March annual Commonwealth Day dinner in the Great Hall, University of Birmingham, commencing from 6.00 pm with a drink’s reception, seating for dinner at 6.30pm. Tickets for the dinner are now on sale at £60 each and include reception drinks, a three-course commonwealth-themed dinner, and a glass or two of wine on each table. Free parking is available on-site from 6 pm at any of the car parks detailed in the enclosed map.
It will be a special occasion with an opportunity to celebrate the success of the Games and some of those responsible for it. It will also give you a chance to network and celebrate the Commonwealth; a remarkable voluntary international organisation of 56 independent and equal countries working across a range of important issues such as the environment and climate change, young people, trade, and economy.
We do hope you will be able to join us at the above. Tickets are available up until 1st March 2023.
