Our Structure

The BCA is a diverse organisation with a particular focus on Commonwealth-related Trade and Business, Education and Communities. All members will receive information about our corporate events to which all will be invited.

Membership Options

Become a BCA Member

Become a Member and receive invitations to all BCA-organised events (some discounted where a charge is made) as well as the inclusion of your organisation’s logo on our website and the opportunity to include articles in our weekly newsletter. A small annual membership fee is payable.

Become a BCA Friend

Become a BCA Friend and receive our weekly newsletter as well as data on BCA Commonwealth activities. No fee payable.

  • Invitation to corporate, social and networking events (some of them at a discounted rate where a charge is made) including our annual Commonwealth Day Service and Networking Dinner
  • Access, as appropriate, to our network
  • Eligibility to put yourself forward for membership of one of the focus groups and/or their committees relevant to your organisation/skill/background and at elections, stand for Chairman or Deputy Chairman of that focus group/committee
  • The opportunity to promote your services, events, products and brand through sponsorship
  • The opportunity to include your organisation's logo on our website as well as the inclusion of articles in our weekly newsletter

  • Access to our network, including the Commonwealth-wide Royal Commonwealth Society.
  • Eligibility to stand for election as Chairman and Deputy Chairman of each Focus Group.
  • Access to all three Focus Groups, attending any of their meetings and contributing to their initiatives.
  • 'By arrangement' access to Birmingham City Council's International team and its overseas network.
  • The opportunity to promote your services, events, products and brand through sponsorship.
  • The opportunity to include your organisation's logo on our website as well as the inclusion of articles in our weekly newsletter.*

You can become a member by one of two ways:

1.  By downloading and printing off a fully completed membership form (download via the button on the right) and sending it in the post with a cheque for £50 for an individual or £75 in for an organisation or business. Make this payable to Birmingham Commonwealth Association at the following address:

2. By completing and submitting the below form, making payment using a credit or debit card.

Only members can use the BCA media outlet to publicise or promote things and that would be subject to our terms and conditions.

Membership is for a 12-month period commencing on the date that cleared funds are paid into our bank account supported by the information referred to below.

Membership entitles the individual named in the application or in the case of an organisation or business, two representatives of that to any discounts offered.
