About us
The Birmingham Commonwealth Association comprises a wide-ranging group of people from businesses, government, universities, colleges and communities who wish to collaborate, engage and co-operate with each other and third parties to deliver Commonwealth related outcomes for both your and Greater Birmingham’s benefit.
Formed in March 2014 as an initiative of Birmingham City Council (BCC) as part of its Distinctly Birmingham International Strategy, the BCA was established as an independent partnership of partners and stakeholders who have a shared ambition for strengthening Birmingham’s ties with the Commonwealth. The BCA has the support of BCC’s International Affairs Team who assist with the associations strategy and the provision of secretarial/admin support. The BCA is also a branch of the Royal Commonwealth Society.
